Guests can also select from the room service menu to enjoy a delicious meal in private. Guests can order hors d'oeuvres at the Oriental Lounge. Fine cuts/seafood are served at The Steak.

El Alamo serves authentic Mexican cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Spectacular views with outdoor dining at La Tratto make for the perfect romantic setting. The hotel has three restaurants that offer a wide selection of fine dining. The Sun Palace hosts theme parties and shows nightly. More active guests can take advantage of two tennis courts, kayaks and paddleboats, beach volleyball and a fitness center. Recreational activities are numerous: guests can relax at the indoor pool or three outdoor infinite pools overlooking the ocean. Guests are greeted with cocktails upon arrival, setting the tone for a fun, relaxing vacation. Located near the southern end of Cancun Island, this elegant hotel has ocean view rooms its own water sports marina and fine restaurants in a romantic ambience. We felt truly welcomed and enjoyed his birthday week (complimentary rose-petal bed, bottle of champagne, and chocolate torte!) immensely.A tranquil seaside setting is offered at the couples-only Sun Palace in Cancun, Mexico. We’ve been to Sandals and Iberostar among others and the Palace has them beat by a long shot. Our room (530) faced the Caribbean and was directly over the main pool which made for beautiful sunrises and good people watching, but that goes both ways… we often felt on display ) When we return (and we will!) we plan to upgrade to a completely private corner unit with an open balcony deck. The balcony was described as “private with a view of the ocean” and it was, but I’d caution that with the privacy offered by the solid side-wall balcony (fronted by a plexiglass half-wall) comes a slightly constricted view and it definitely limits the breeze when sitting outside the room. Be prepared to say no to their offer to exchange the cost of the upgrade for a “promotional presentation breakfast” unless that’s your jam… we preferred to pay a reasonable amount to get a lovely large suite instead of sitting through a soul-numbing sales pitch ) We upgraded to a honeymoon suite (room 530) at check in (tip: wait until check in to upgrade for an opportunity to negotiate the price. It’s been recently renovated, and it shows. As opposed to one of the larger resort’s maze of paths and pools and restaurants (and people,) the Sun Palace has a more intimate boutique hotel feel.
